Our client in Texas called to report their office building was on fire. Fortunately, they had a Business Continuity Plan that allowed them to be restored to full operation two days after their new equipment arrived. Only the work performed on the day of the fire was lost because they couldn’t take their server with them when they evacuated the building.
The client was up, running, receiving and shipping inventory in less than a week from the day of the fire. This included finding a new warehouse location, ordering, provisioning new computer and network systems, restoring all data (including inventory and accounting data current to the day previous to the fire) and ordering replacement inventory.
